Chamber member Langley Senior Resources Society is inviting the community to gather in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

As a vital part of reconciliation, this day is an opportunity to honour survivors of residential schools, the children who never came home, and their families and communities. It is also a time to reflect, listen, learn, and acknowledge the ongoing impacts of residential schools across Canada.

The gathering will take place at its new location, Douglas Park Spirit Square, located at 20550 Douglas Crescent in Langley.

An educational story walk will be available beginning at 4:00pm, followed by the main gathering at 5:00pm. The evening will include Red Hawk Drummers, speakers, and a candlelight walk.

Community members are encouraged to attend and take part in this important day of remembrance, reflection, and reconciliation.
