Scholarship and Supports for Students Transitioning to Post-Secondary Offered Through "Hire Ed Program"

The Hire Ed program is part of the N3xU5 (aka Nexus) program which is intended to help youth up to 29 years old transition successfully from high school to post-secondary school. This ten week program focuses on helping students prepare for life in a college or university. Making connections and building a firm safety net for yourself is what N3xU5 is all about!

Graduates of this program are more prepared to join a post-secondary institution with the tools, resources, and people who can help them achieve their dreams.

Hire Ed is unique of its focus on post-secondary education and what it is like to be a student. It is particularly geared for students who are moving from rural or remote areas to larger towns and cities, or those who may feel lost, unsupported, or extremely nervous about the change. This program includes the following:

  • a laptop kitted out with Microsoft Office.
  • transportation and other supports as needed
  • Successful completion gets students one semester of tuition and books paid for in a college or university where they have been accepted (up to $3,000)
