Applications Open for Township of Langley Community Grants and Capital Improvement Grants

Four new grant applications are now open in the Township of Langley as part of the 2023 Capital Improvement and Community Grants Programs.

Applications will be accepted until February 28 at 4:00pm. 

Community Grants can support a community project, program, or special event. Such grants are available for eligible registered BC non-profit societies, or registered Canadian charities that are based in the Township of Langley and provide services or programs that directly benefit more than 250 Township residents.

Capital Improvement Grants are available for eligible community halls and museums that are owned and operated by a registered BC non-profit society or registered Canadian charity and exist for the enjoyment and use of Township of Langley residents.

  • Community Grants - Up to $2500

These grants are available to Registered Non-Profit Societies and Registered Charities serving the municipality and its residents.  Applications for funding of special events / projects must demonstrate direct benefit to the Township, involve local residents, be held in the Township, and benefit a majority of Township residents. 

  • Community Association Grants - Up to $1000

Grants of up to $1,000 are available to one community association in each of the seven defined communities:

Aldergrove
Brookswood/Fernridge
Fort Langley
Murrayville
Walnut Grove
Willoughby
Willowbrook
  • Major and Minor Festivals Grant 

These grants are available to registered non-profit organizations for the purpose of staging major or minor events and festivals in the Township of Langley.

  • Capital Improvement Grants - Up to $7500 in 50% project contributions

Capital Improvement Grants may be available to bona fide community halls that exist solely for the use of community residents and are owned and operated by the organization as a community hall.
