Langley food and beverage producers and processors can now apply for the next round of Buy BC funding to support the sales of their local food and beverage products.  The Buy BC program is providing $2 million in total funding to companies to help them undertake local marketing activities that increase consumer awareness and sales of their products.  Applications are open from May 15 until June 4, 2023.

Eligibility:

Must be:

• ​A primary agriculture and/or seafood producer; or
• An agriculture, food and beverage and/or seafood processor or cooperative; or
• An agriculture, food and/or beverage industry association, board or council

Must have a BC head office or licenses to do business in BC

Must meet minimums for BC-based content in your products (for primary products 100%, for processed products 51%)

Must have a minimum of $30,000 in annual revenue over the past two years

Must cost-share the project, funding at least 50% of the marketing efforts yourself    

Possible Funded Activities:

• Paid advertising
• Packaging
• Attending BC-focused tradeshows and expos
• Marketing collateral 
• In-store demos
• Staff wages (related to the project)

Funding Amounts:

For producers, processors and cooperatives, funding is available from a minimum of $5,000 per year up to:

• A maximum of $15,000 per year for applicants with an annual gross revenue less than $250,000, and;
• A maximum of $30,000 per year for applicants with an annual gross revenue over $250,000.
