Canada Post Job Action Stops Mail Delivery of Business Flyers

In the latest move in the protracted labour unrest at Canada Post, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has expanded job action to include a refusal to process or deliver unaddressed flyers (Neighbourhood Mail).

This type of direct marketing is an important tool for many local businesses and non-profits to reach customers and supporters, and the disruption harms our community while also halting one of Canada Post’s more profitable services.

The Langley Chamber has been actively engaging with both Canada Post and the federal government since job action began way back in last Autumn to push for an end to ongoing service disruptions. Reliable, affordable mail and parcel service remains essential for small businesses and organizations across Langley, and government should not allow it to be disrupted for so long.

We want to hear from you — if your business has been affected by this latest disruption, or last year's mail stoppage, please reach out and share your concerns with us.
