The 2025 Canada Summer Jobs Program Call for Applications closes today, December 19. 

This program provides funding to help employers create job opportunities for youth aged 15 to 30 during the summer months. The application deadline is early this year: December 19, 2024, at 11:59 p.m, so don’t wait—apply today!

The Canada Summer Jobs program provides funding to not-for-profits and private businesses to create summer positions for youth, with the program funding all or part of the wage.  Not-for-profits can receive up to 100% of the minimum wage for each position, while private businesses are eligible for up to 50%. Jobs can take place between April 21, 2025 and August 30, 2025.  

Who can apply?
Employers from not-for-profit organizations, as well as private sector businesses with 50 or fewer full-time employees. 

What types of jobs are funded?
You must provide full-time work experience (minimum 30 hours per week) in Canada for a minimum of six weeks, and a maximum of 16 weeks, during the program.  The job must provide meaningful work experience for the youth, supporting skills acquisition and development.

Employers across industries can use this funding to create and support all kinds of summer jobs like:

• Support summer events or festivals
• Administrative or customer service roles
• Tackle projects like digital marketing campaigns or social media management
• Provide maintenance, landscaping, or other hands-on work
• And lots more!
