Chamber Holds Candidates Forum for Langley City Mayor and Council - Watch Video

The Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce hosted a community all candidates forum for the City of Langley on October 5, bringing together residents, business owners, professionals, and community members to hear directly from candidates seeking election as Mayor and Councillors. Watch the video >

The forum provided an opportunity for the community to learn more about each candidate’s priorities, vision for the City, and approach to key issues affecting Langley’s future. Throughout the evening, candidates discussed a range of topics including taxes, transportation, public safety, housing and growth, infrastructure, and the long-term success of the community.

Candidates for City Council were invited to participate, share their perspectives, answer questions, and speak to how they would support residents, businesses, and the broader community if elected.

The Langley Chamber is non-partisan and does not endorse candidates. The purpose of the forum was to support an informed local election conversation and ensure that community and business issues are part of the discussion as voters prepare to cast their ballots.

Local government decisions have a direct impact on the cost of doing business, transportation, public safety, land use, infrastructure, and the overall ability of businesses and communities to grow and thrive. For businesses in the City of Langley in particular, decisions around redevelopment, transportation, taxation, public safety, and accommodating continued growth will help shape the community for years to come.

Forums like this give residents and the business community an opportunity to hear directly from candidates and better understand where they stand on the issues that matter most.
