Chamber Hosts Candidate Forums for Township and City Voters

Ahead of the October 15th municipal elections, the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce held two Community Candidate Forums for businesses and residents of both the Township and City to meet and hear from candidates for Council and Mayor.

All candidates were invited and given the opportunity to take the stage to share their perspectives, priorities and policies with voters in response to questions from the Chamber, which were developed through weeks of public input.  Combined, hundreds of attendees participated in the Forums, which were held on September 26 for the Township and September 28 for the City.

"Right now in places around the world people are fighting and dying for the freedoms we enjoy here.  The Langley Chamber is honoured to be able to put on these community events to support local democracy," says Cory Redekop, the CEO of the Chamber who also moderated the Forums.   The events were hosted by the Chamber with the support of presenting partner the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board.

Recordings of the Forums are available for those who were not able to attend and can be viewed online.
