CTV News Story: Langley Businesses Paying Millions for Transit Service They Don't Get

The lack of transit service to the Gloucester district has been a long-time advocacy priority for the Langley Chamber, and we were pleased to work with CTV to bring attention to this issue, and Langley Township's recent call by Mayor and Council for Translink to finally provide bus service or to stop taking the millions in transit taxes that these businesses pay on their annual property taxes.  

The Langley Chamber continues to push for transit service to this area of Langley -- home to 200 businesses and 15,000 employees -- to address this long-standing barrier to business and economic growth.  Without transit, these businesses will continue to struggle with employee recruitment as only those with personal vehicles can possibly get to the area.
