Finance Minister Brenda Bailey Visits Langley Chamber for Budget Discussion and Economic Outlook

The Langley Chamber was pleased to welcome BC Finance Minister Brenda Bailey for a special event focused on the provincial government’s 2025 budget, current economic priorities, and the road ahead for B.C.’s economy.
Held at a Chamber-hosted dinner event on May 20, Minister Bailey delivered a presentation outlining the government’s fiscal plan, government measures to respond to international trade challenges like tariffs, and the BC's long-term economic prospects.
Following her remarks, Minister Bailey sat down for a one-on-one conversation with Langley Chamber CEO Cory Redekop, where the two discussed the economic position of the province, B.C.'s significant deficits, infrastructure pressures facing Langley, and the provincial government's role in fostering economic growth.
“We were pleased to host Minister Bailey for this important conversation with our business community,” said Cory Redekop, CEO of the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce. “It’s essential that local businesses have the chance to hear directly from government leaders about the challenges and priorities shaping B.C.’s economy — and equally important that government come to and hears from communities like Langley.”
The Langley Chamber thanks Minister Bailey for her engagement and looks forward to continued dialogue on policies that impact the competitiveness and resilience of Langley businesses.
