Funding Opportunity for Non-Profit Members: Work Experience Opportunities Grant

The Langley Chamber is pleased to share a funding opportunity specifically relevant to our non-profit and charitable members through the Work Experience Opportunities Grant (WEOG), delivered by United Way BC and supported by the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada. This program provides funding to help non-profits create short-term, paid work experience placements while expanding organizational capacity.

Eligible non-profit organizations can receive up to $5,000 per work experience placement, with funding available for up to 10 placements per organization, for a maximum of $50,000. Each grant includes support for participant stipends as well as up to 10% in administration cost recovery, helping organizations offset the real costs of supervision, training, and program delivery. Placements are designed to provide meaningful work experience while supporting individuals who may face barriers to employment.

Applications for the 2026–2027 funding cycle open January 12, 2026, and close February 24, 2026. The Chamber encourages eligible non-profit members to review the guidelines and consider how this funding could support both their mission and their operational needs by creating structured, paid work experience opportunities within their organization.
