Get Up to $5000 in Funding to Get CUSMA Compliant

Langley businesses exporting to the United States can now access new funding to help them meet CUSMA (Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement) requirements and reduce trade barriers at the border. Through the CUSMA Compliance Advisory Services Initiative (CCASI), eligible small and medium-sized businesses can be reimbursed for up to 50% of the cost of trade services, to a maximum of $5,000 per business.
What Services Are Covered?
Funding can help cover costs such as:
- Customs brokers
- Trade consultants
- Trade lawyers
- Compliance specialists
Services can be provided by Canadian or U.S.-based experts.
Who Can Apply?
Your business may qualify for funding if you:
- Are registered in British Columbia
- Have exported to the U.S. in the past 12 months
- Incurred eligible costs on or after April 1, 2025
How It Works
The application process is straightforward and the program works as a reimbursement:
- Submit an online application
- Receive approval
- Hire a qualified service provider
- Submit receipts
- Receive your reimbursement
Why It Matters
Currently, CUSMA compliant trade is avoiding tariffs entering into the US, protecting those businesses from trade disruptions and costs. While this exemption exists, it remains a key way to avoid the negative impacts of US tariffs.
