At the Langley Chamber's annual Holiday Dinner on December 13, attended by 250 professionals and business leaders, community volunteer and Board President of the Langley Hospice Society Kathy Derksen was named the 2022 HD Stafford Good Citizen Award recipient. 

Since 1980, the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce has presented the HD Stafford Good Citizen Award to an individual in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the Langley community.

The award is dedicated to the memory of the late Harold Stafford who epitomized what a good citizen should be and who dedicated incredible time and effort on initiatives to make Langley a better place to live, work, and play.  

Described as a "caring and committed volunteer," Kathy has volunteered and served with the Langley Hospice Society for over 30 years, helping provide compassionate care and support to help people live with dignity and hope while coping with grief and the end of life.
