Langley Chamber Congratulates Premier-Designate Lorne Doerkson and Re-Elected Langley MLAs

The Langley Chamber congratulates Premier-designate Lorne Doerkson following the 2026 provincial election on October 24, as well as Langley’s three returning Members of the Legislative Assembly: Harman Bhangu in Langley-Abbotsford, Misty Van Popta in Langley-Walnut Grove, and Jody Toor in Langley-Willowbrook.

The Chamber looks forward to working constructively with the incoming government and with Langley’s returning MLAs throughout the next term to advance provincial policies and investments that support local businesses, strengthen competitiveness, and create the conditions for long-term economic growth.

“Provincial decisions have a major impact on the day-to-day realities facing businesses — from taxation and employment policy to transportation, infrastructure, housing, trade and the cost of doing business,” said Cory Redekop, CEO of the Langley Chamber. “We congratulate Premier-designate Doerkson and our three returning Langley MLAs, and we look forward to continuing to bring the priorities and experiences of our local business community directly to them.”

Throughout the new term, the Chamber will continue to advocate for policies that make it easier to start, operate and grow a business in Langley, while ensuring our fast-growing community receives the provincial infrastructure and services needed to support continued economic and population growth.

Key priorities for Langley businesses include improving transportation and goods movement, supporting housing and workforce availability, managing rising costs and regulatory pressures, strengthening trade and investment, and ensuring businesses can remain competitive in an increasingly challenging economic environment.

The Chamber has worked with all three returning Langley MLAs during the previous term and looks forward to building on those relationships while also establishing a productive working relationship with the new provincial government.

As a non-partisan business organization, the Langley Chamber works with elected representatives from all parties and all levels of government to advance the interests of Langley businesses and promote a strong, competitive local economy.

We congratulate all those elected across British Columbia and thank everyone who put their name forward to serve their communities.
