Langley Chamber Highlights with Deputy Minister Proposed Improvements to Paid Sick Leave

The Langley Chamber continues its work to advocate for common-sense changes to paid sick leave in BC that will reduce headaches for business and lower costs, specifically calling for three key areas in need of improvement with paid sick leave:

  1. Creating a Mechanism to Account for Partial Sick Days 
  2. Linking Sick Pay to the Amount of Missed Work Missed
  3. Implementing a Greater Days-Worked Requirement 

The Langley Chamber has discussed this issue with both Langley MLAs, and has engaged personally with the Deputy Minister of Labour to advance three recommendations to address quirks in the application of the paid sick leave requirement.
