Langley Chamber Hosts Council Candidates Forum for Township By-Election

Last night, the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce, with support from sponsor Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, hosted a special Township of Langley Council Candidates Forum ahead of the upcoming by-election to fill one vacant seat on Township Council.
All seven candidates in the October 25 by-election — John Aldag, Paul Chhina, Resha Sabti, Saurabh Seth, Val van den Broek, Jami Watson and Blair Whitmarsh — participated in the forum to share their priorities, perspectives, and ideas for the future of Langley. A full room of residents, business people, and community members attended to meet with and hear from the candidates.
Moderated by the Langley Chamber, the forum gave each candidate the opportunity to address key local issues, including housing and development, transportation, parks and recreation, as well as budgets and economic growth.
“The Chamber was proud to host this important opportunity for our members and the broader community to hear directly from the candidates seeking to represent Langley Township,” said Cory Redekop, CEO of the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce. “Strong local leadership matters to our businesses and residents alike, and we thank all candidates for their participation and commitment to our community.”
The Chamber’s Council Candidates Forum is part of the Langley Chamber's ongoing work to promote civic engagement, encourage informed participation, and connect the business community with decision-makers at all levels of government.
