Langley Chamber Launches Executive Peer Advisory Circles
The Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce is excited to launch a new program designed to give local business owners a confidential, practical space to work through the real challenges of running and growing a business.
The new Executive Peer Advisory Circles will bring together small groups of established Langley business owners for monthly, professionally facilitated peer advisory meetings. Each Circle will include 8 to 12 business owners, with only one seat per industry and no competitors in the room.
The program is built around a simple idea: business owners often carry major decisions alone.
Whether it is staffing, pricing, cash flow, growth, operations, technology, leadership, or work-life balance, many of the most important business issues are difficult to discuss with staff, customers, suppliers, or even family. Executive Peer Advisory Circles are designed to create a trusted room where those challenges can be shared openly and worked through with other business owners who understand the realities of leadership.
“Running a business can be rewarding, but it can also be isolating,” said Cory Redekop, CEO of the Langley Chamber. “This program gives business owners a confidential space to bring forward real challenges, learn from the experience of their peers, and leave with practical insight they can apply in their own business. Being able to talk about issues, walkthrough your decision making with others…that can be a gamechanger.”
Unlike a traditional networking event or workshop, Peer Advisory Circles are not built around speakers, sales, or referrals. The value comes from the experience around the table. Members bring real business challenges, ask questions, share what has worked or not worked in their own organizations, and hold one another accountable to action.
Each meeting follows a consistent format, including a check-in from each member, time for one or two members to present a live business challenge, a facilitated discussion on a common business topic, and a closing commitment where each participant identifies one action they will take before the next meeting.
Confidentiality is central to the program. Every participant signs a written confidentiality agreement before the first meeting, and Chamber staff do not receive any meeting content. The same group meets each month for the six-month founding term, with no drop-ins, substitutes, or guests, allowing trust and accountability to build over time.
The founding cohort is intended for people who are actively running a business, including owners, entrepreneurs, and senior decision-makers. Participants should have been
operating for at least two years, be prepared to attend all six meetings, and be willing to contribute openly while respecting the confidentiality of others.
Each Circle will include six facilitated monthly sessions, a professional facilitator, a consistent competitor-free group, and meeting dates set before participants commit.
Applications for the founding cohort are now open and will close on October 9. First Circle meetings are expected to begin the week of November 2, 2026.
The Chamber sees Executive Peer Advisory Circles as a natural extension of its work to connect and support Langley’s business community. By creating a trusted space for business owners to learn from one another, the program will help strengthen individual businesses while deepening the relationships and shared expertise within the local economy.
