The Metro Vancouver regional government is imposing Stage 2 outdoor water restrictions as of Friday, August 4.  These restrictions will have some limited impacts on businesses, but if further stages are imposed impacts will be greater.

Starting August 4, some of the key restrictions include:

• Watering lawns in both residential and commercial/mixed-use properties is prohibited. 
• Washing surfaces like driveways, entranceways, storefronts, buildings, and windows is prohibited for both residential and commercial
  • Allowed if being done by a commercial cleaning company or to prepare for painting
  • Allowed for health and safety or sanitary reasons 
• Topping up or filling aesthetic water features is prohibited for both residential and commercial
