Reminder: GST Holiday Ends February 15, 2025; Revert Back to Collecting Tax on February 16

The final day for the temporary GST holiday is February 15, 2025 -- next Saturday. Starting at 12:01 a.m. on February 16, businesses selling goods and services that qualified for the GST break will be expected to update their accounting and point-of-sale systems to resume charging the GST on those items.
Following this, you should keep your normal records of GST collected and remit and report your regular GST as usual, it will just obviously be less given the lack of GST over the past 2 months.

Enforcement
The CRA has assured that businesses which make reasonable efforts to comply with the legislation will not be the focus of CRA compliance actions. The Langley Chamber will be monitoring this and engaging with the CRA to ensure this is the case.
