The Surrey–Langley SkyTrain Extension is a major regional transit investment that will bring rapid transit all the way to Langley City. Construction is now well underway along Fraser Highway and in the Langley City Centre area, with significant work happening throughout 2024–2026 as crews build the elevated guideway, utility relocations, and station infrastructure.

The Langley Chamber meets regularly with the project team — including the guideway contractors, construction project leads, BC Hydro, and others — to stay informed about upcoming work and to ensure local business concerns are heard. • Single-lane traffic on Fraser Highway in both directions, with traffic shifted around work zones and across medians. Some turn restrictions apply.
• Short traffic stoppages (up to two minutes) may occur and will be managed by traffic control personnel.
• Industrial Avenue (200 Street to 203 Street) is eastbound only.

• Ongoing foundation and pier work along Fraser Highway from 184 Street to Highway 10.
• Foundation and rebar work at Clayton Station and Willowbrook Station, expected to be completed by early 2026.
• Foundation work underway for the elevated guideway on Industrial Avenue (near 203 Street), continuing through summer 2026.

• Langley City Centre Station construction has begun, with foundation work continuing into summer 2026.
• Site preparation for future foundations and piers, including vegetation management, grading, and fence installation.

• Ongoing work to relocate utilities and install new infrastructure along the Fraser Highway corridor.
• Temporary access changes may occur when work crosses intersections or driveways.
• Utility activity currently occurring between 64 Avenue and 201A Street, Langley Lane (east of Highway 10), and Industrial Avenue (200 Street to 203 Street).

• Langley City Centre PPS (Power and Propulsion Station) construction will begin late 2025 at 201A Street and Industrial Avenue.
• Willowbrook Station construction will begin in Spring 2026.
• Pile driving for the elevated guideway along Fraser Highway east of Highway 10, the laneway east of Fraser Highway, and Industrial Avenue will begin early 2026.

• Access to local businesses may change at times, but all businesses should remain accessible throughout construction.  Let us know if this is not the case.
• Directional signage will be installed to guide drivers and pedestrians.

• Expect ongoing:
  • Single-lane traffic in both directions
  • Lane closures
  • Intermittent stoppages
  • Full or partial closures in sections
• Impacts span Fraser Highway between 138 Street (Surrey) and 203 Street (Langley).
