DESCRIPTION:Over the last decade the immigrant population of the City and Township of Langley has grown significantly. According to Census 2016 data\, the Township had the highest immigrant population growth rate in BC at 21.5%\; the City had the 5th highest at 15.5%.\n\n\n\nIn 2021\, 365 newcomers responded to the Langley LIP's local immigrant survey.\n\n\n\nThese individuals listed 98 different occupation pre-arrival. After arrival only 48% were employed or self-employed with only 19% employed in their field.
