The Trinity Western University Concert Band + Orchestra presents a rich and varied evening of British classics. From the stirring rhythms of Pomp and Circumstance to popular English and Irish folk tunes, the music will feel as familiar and pleasing as a good cup of tea. Highlights include several works by Vaughan Williams, Four Scottish Dances by Malcolm Arnold, beloved melodies such as ?O Danny Boy? and ?Greensleeves,? and a world premiere of the first-ever student composition to be performed by the TWU Orchestra, Peregrine Fantasy by fifth-year SAMC Music major Vincent Clements. The evening will also feature debuts by two student conductors. The event is part of SAMC?s annual Festival of the Arts, Media + Culture.
