Nobody hated accounting more than Shannon Johnston. With post-secondary education in both marketing and human resources management (where she painstakingly forced her way through the mandatory accounting finance and accounting courses), Shannon grew her career in sales and sales leadership. In 2018, Shannon launched her own sales and marketing firm, SBMO Consulting Inc, and was promptly hired by Shift Financial Insights, a company on a mission to make accounting not suck for growth-oriented business owners. With skepticism in her heart, Shannon accepted the challenge and has since turned into the numbers-loving, data-centric Integrator for Shift. Shannon now spends time teaching business owners and executive teams how to embrace accounting, transforming their relationship with their books from being a source of pain to being a source of power.
