This session will be of greatest value to those between the ages of 55 and 70 who are not yet receiving their pensions, but it is open to anyone with an interest in this topic. There will be an opportunity to have your own questions regarding pensions answered. We will address: 1) When should I begin taking Canada Pension Plan (CPP)? 2) When should I begin taking Old Age Security (OAS)? 3) How do I coordinate government pensions with my work pension or RRSP? 4) How should good health or poor health affect my decisions? 5) How are pensions affected by my other sources of taxable income? 6) What are the “OAS claw back” rules, and how do I avoid losing my pension? 7) Why would anybody wait until age 70 to start their pension?
