Film Screening: Water On the Table
WaterWeeks Event presented in partnership with Green Wednesdays and Kwantlen Polytechnic University
Is water a commercial good like running shoes or Coca-Cola? Or, is water a human right like air? Water On The Table explores Canada's relationship to its freshwater, arguably our most precious natural resource. The film features Maude Barlow, considered an "international water-warrior" for her crusade to have water declared a human right.
This documentary bridges themes and questions and elevates water beyond the political and into the realm of our own soul as a species on earth.
Harjap Grewel, BC/Yukon Regional Organizer for the Council of Canadians will be available to answer questions and provide information after the film.
