What is Volinspire?
Volinspire is a new, innovative software platform designed to engage volunteers and businesses with charitable causes. Volinspire’s mission is to leverage the power of technology to increase overall citizen engagement and build stronger and more connected communities. Non- profit organizations can use Volinspire for free to better manage, engage and recruit volunteers as well as strengthen partnerships with local businesses. Volinspire also has a built-in communication system and newsfeed and non-profits can receive donations through Volinspire. Volunteers can get their skills endorsed, track their hours and build an overall profile similar to LinkedIn and post stories to the community newsfeed to help promote their causes. Unlike Facebook and Twitter, Volinspire is entirely focused on local communities and each click leads to an organization or person doing local work. Businesses can use Volinspire as a tool for employee engagement and to track and share community involvement.
Launched in Kelowna, BC on December 3, 2015, more than 70 nonprofit agencies are already using Volinspire to connect with inspired volunteers. KCR (Kelowna Community Resources), and United Way (local) have joined as partners and the City of Kelowna has come on board as a major customer in addition to First West Credit Union, Prospera Credit Union and Interior Savings. Volinspire will be signing up other businesses and their employees in 2016. Join this information session and learn how Volinspire can assist your organization in enhancing its volunteer outreach programs, engage donors, and reward volunteers for their contributions.
