Remembering Betty Phillips: “I want to live my dying well”
“So Betty lived her dying well and Langley Hospice was there all the time caring for us in remarkable ways. Near the end I told Betty I would like to do a fundraiser for the Langley Hospice Society. She whole heartedly approved, "They have been so kind and gracious to us, we need to help so others can experience this kind of care and support". Then at the end of all this she said her final words: "Let me go, I want to go up." I stayed with her every night. We kept a vigil on this one I loved and to whom I had been married for almost 46 years; who had so graced our lives with her love, forgiveness and trust. Part of that involves trying to give back to organizations such as the Langley Hospice Society who help so many people ‘live their dying well.’ We invite you to be part of this way of Remembering Betty”.
