ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS

Himanshu Wadhwa is a Senior Manager, Business Banking with CIBC and leads a team of relationship managers in Surrey & the Fraser Valley. He has over 14 years of experience in working with business owners and companies of all sizes for their lending and cash flow requirements. He, along with his team are currently focused on helping business owners in the Fraser Valley to achieve their financing needs. 

Himanshu is a career banker and has held multiple leadership positions for commercial & business banking within Canada and overseas. Some of his previous roles include National V.P. & Head of Risk Controls for YES Bank in Mumbai, India and most recent Commercial Account Manager with RBC Royal Bank in Surrey, B.C. He is a management graduate and is an active industry speaker. 


Alka Bhatia works with CIBC as their Director of Business Banking and currently leads the team in the Fraser Valley & Okanagan. She has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services Industry of which the last 15 years were at CIBC. She has held multiple leadership positions within retail and business banking divisions of CIBC. Some of her previous roles include Financial Advisor for business, General Manager Business Banking and most recent Community General Manager for Metro Burnaby area. 

Alka did her post graduate from the Indian Institute of Planning & Management with a major in finance and marketing. She was also recognized by the Vancouver Magazine for two years in a row as one of top wealth managers based on the consumer survey.
