Ryan Leonhard has been a Director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Vietnam since 2016. In his current role as Executive Director, Ryan drives Chamber growth by leveraging high-potential collaborations, engaging with Canadian and Vietnamese stakeholders, and seeking out new member opportunities.

Under his leadership, the Chamber shifted strategies to prioritize establishing an extensive, complimentary bilateral network of industry stakeholders and to provide early support for Canadian businesses interested in Vietnam. He also developed the Chamber’s hugely successful Business Services offering, which provides on-the-ground delegation, event, and B2B support for incoming Canadian organizations.

In addition to his efforts at the Chamber, Ryan collaboratively established the Global Challenges program with the University of the Fraser Valley to connect curriculum courses with Vietnamese industry stakeholders to provide students with virtual international experiential learning opportunities while addressing practical, real-world industry, social, and community challenges.

Ryan is also an avid supporter of the Terry Fox Run and has organized the Terry Fox Run Vietnam, the largest single international Terry Fox Run in the world, to raise more than CAD $600,000 for cancer research initiatives in Vietnam since 2016.
