Young Entrepreneurs: Business Planning and Financing
Are you between 18 and 39 years of age and looking to start a business? Developing your business plan and sourcing financing can be two of the hardest tasks to accomplish when starting a business. This seminar will provide key tips on developing your business plan and the resources that are available to you. Brendan Cooper from Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) will discuss how to establish good credit ratings, how to evaluate good and bad cash flows and how to apply for CYBF financing and mentorship. Finally we’ll have a representative from the Vancity Microfinance Program who will outline the 10 things they’ll be looking for in your business plan, how lenders measure risk and your options for financing. This is an interactive session, so come prepared with questions. Learning objectives will be to learn about the resources available for business planning, understand how lenders value applicants on credit rating, know what to include in your cash flow projections and to discuss 10 key points you need to mention in a successful business plan. Presented By: Small Business BC, Canadian Youth Business Foundation and Vancity. This seminar is hosted at Small Business BC in Vancouver and delivered to other locations via live video conference.
