Chamber Wraps Year of Programming with Largest Ever Holiday Dinner Meeting
The Langley Chamber has wrapped its events and programming calendar for 2024 with its largest ever Holiday Dinner Meeting, which saw 300 business, community and government leaders come together to connect, collaborate and ring in the festive season. The event included the crowd-favourite holiday dinner featuring local JD Farms turkey and Krause Berry Farms pies, as well as the hotly-contested Langley Chamber Gingerbread House Competition, which saw epic builds and creative displays assembled during the event.
The event also featured the presentation of the 2024 HD Stafford Good Citizen Award, a recognition the Chamber has given out annually since 1980. This award recognizes an individual who personally has contributed to building and fostering community in Langley. This year's recipient was Andy Schildhorn of Fort Langley, who after a career as a Township firefighter, has been deeply involved in local events and causes, including the annual Fort Langley Remembrance Day Ceremony and the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival, which he co-founded in 2018.
